LinkedIn Founders Network ("LFN", "we", "us", or "our") is a Chrome extension that helps founders share their LinkedIn posts with relevant founders and discover founder posts worth engaging with.
This Privacy Policy explains what information LFN processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Process
When you use LFN, we may process the following information:
LinkedIn post information
The URL of a LinkedIn post you choose to share through LFN.
The text of that post.
LFN does not collect or upload your general LinkedIn browsing history. The extension operates on LinkedIn in order to provide its user-facing sharing, recommendation, and engagement features.
Contributions
Text that you submit to LFN as a contribution or comment associated with a recommended post.
Information about whether that contribution qualifies under LFN's contribution rules.
Recommendation and activity information
Posts recommended to you through LFN.
Actions necessary to operate recommendations, such as opening or skipping a recommendation.
Distribution activity associated with shared posts.
Reach credits and debits used to operate LFN's distribution system.
Account and access information
An LFN access token used to authenticate your invited account.
Founder account information associated with your LFN participation.
How We Use Information
We use this information only as necessary to provide and improve LFN, including to:
distribute posts shared through LFN to relevant founders;
provide founder post recommendations;
record recommendation actions and contributions;
evaluate whether submitted contributions qualify under LFN's rules;
operate the Reach distribution system;
authenticate invited LFN users;
maintain the security and reliability of the service;
understand and improve the LFN alpha experience.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use information obtained through the Chrome extension for advertising or for purposes unrelated to LFN's user-facing functionality.
Chrome Storage
LFN uses Chrome extension storage to support the operation of the extension.
Your LFN access token is stored locally in Chrome so that you can remain signed in to LFN.
The extension may also temporarily store information about a post being shared, including its URL and text, in Chrome session storage while completing the sharing flow.
Service Providers
We use service providers to operate LFN.
Supabase
LFN uses Supabase as backend infrastructure for storing and processing information required to operate the service, including shared posts, recommendations, contributions, and Reach activity.
OpenAI
When you submit a contribution through LFN, the relevant post text and your submitted contribution text may be sent to OpenAI for automated evaluation of whether the contribution meets LFN's contribution requirements.
These providers process information on our behalf in connection with operating LFN.
Data Retention
LFN currently operates as an alpha product.
Shared post URLs and text, contribution text, recommendation and interaction records, Reach activity, and related founder information may be retained for as long as necessary to operate LFN, conduct the alpha program, maintain the integrity of the service, and improve the product.
LFN does not currently apply an automatic expiration period to these records.
Data Deletion
LFN does not currently provide a self-service data deletion feature.

We will process deletion requests manually. Because LFN records may be connected to distribution, recommendation, contribution, and Reach records involving other participants, deletion may require us to remove or adjust related records.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through LFN.
Communication between the extension and LFN's backend services is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
LFN access credentials are used for authentication and are not intentionally exposed publicly.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Limited Use
Information received through the LFN Chrome extension is used only to provide or improve the extension's user-facing functionality.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Children's Privacy
LFN is intended for founders and other professional users and is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through LFN.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as LFN develops.
If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we process user information may also be communicated through the product or other appropriate means.
